Duffy the Disney Bear Premieres Tomorrow

Duffy, the Disney Bear premieres tomorrow at Disney California Adventure.  Who is Duffy you ask?  Duffy is Mickey Mouse's teddy bear made by Minnie Mouse herself.  Duffy was introduced a few years ago at Tokyo Disneyland and had been a huge hit, in fact at Tokyo DisneySea park, he is as popular as Mickey Mouse!!!  You can buy outfits for Duffy and change his wardrobe.  He has several wardrobes available for purchase including special Halloween and Christmas attire.  You will also find Duffy books and other merchandise.

Duffy will be available for Character Meet and Greet beginning tomorrow at Paradise Pier.  They will have a welcoming ceremony on Wednesday morning at 9:45 am.  Guests who want to witness the ceremony will be let in early to DCA for the ceremony, the theme park opens at 10:00 am.

It will be interesting to see how the American public takes to Duffy, he has been huge in Japan.  This is Disney's answer to Build A Bear, in that you purchase clothing for Mickey Mouse's teddy bear and dress him up and take on "adventures" with you.  

He will also premiere in a similar ceremony at Epcot in Walt Disney World.
